A low, wide stoneware bowl with gently curved sides and a sculptural profile that reads as much as an object as a vessel.
The high-gloss reactive glaze is where the interest lies: a deep blue-black pools and runs into softer smoky blues and earthy greys, so the surface takes on an almost landscape-like pattern. Because the glaze reacts in the kiln, no two bowls come out the same.
At 30cm across it works as a table centrepiece, on a console or coffee table, or simply as a quiet bit of colour on a shelf.
